Learn How to Prevent Accidents at Home with Pet

Posted by Dog citizen in 04/Feb/2016-

Who can resist a cuddly pet? But, having a pet at home, be it a puppy or an adult, requires great care and responsibility. Some objects should be kept out of reach of the best friend so that no problems arise for you and for the pet as well.

The topic “security” is so important that was subject of the program’s home from Saturday February 4. The subject was approached by animal husbandry and animal behavior expert, Alexander Rossi. During your participation, Alexander showed the care that must be taken indoors to ensure that the animal does not suffer accidents.

Many puppies, when young, especially, love to play and bite all that are ahead of us. Despite the fun, such behavior is quite dangerous.

Risk factors

Before the arrival of a pet in the House, ideally the owner identifies a few elements that can become dangerous. The electronics must be well hidden and the need to have a security sandbox.

Chemicals and cleaning are also at great risk. How about keep them in a place where the dog and the cat doesn’t have access? What many people don’t know is that plants can also provide risks for the animal’s life. In this case, it’s worth talking to your veterinarian to understand which plants cause problems for the pet and keep them in a place of less access.

Teach the command “no” also promotes security, since you can use it in several risky situations, such as when the dogs find the gate open and see a chance to get out into the street.

What to do to prevent accidents?

  1. Don’t let the destampadas.
  2. place the plants (in particular those toxic for pets) in a place where they can’t reach.
  3. Teach the command “no” to the animal to know their limits.
  4. keep chemicals/cleaning and away from pet.
  5. Sharp objects or that can harm the animal should also stay out of his reach.
  6. Pay attention when opening and closing gates. In addition to the command “no”, it is safer to hold the animal in the Guide at these moments.
  7. To get out of the House, never leave lit candles along with the pet.

Even with all the precautions, keep an eye on your pet when it is loose and comfortable.
