The University of Arkansas–Fayetteville School of Law was founded in 1924 as the first law school in the state of Arkansas. The law school was established with the mission to provide a legal education that would prepare students for professional success in the legal field. The inaugural class consisted of only twelve students, and the first dean, Judge A.J. Carleton, was appointed in 1925. Since then, the law school has grown to become one of the top-ranked public law schools in the country, offering both a Juris Doctor (JD) and Master of Laws (LLM) programs.

The Office helps students and alumni define objectives and search for employment by providing counseling focusing on individual goals.
