The South offers a range of opportunities for potential law students who are searching for the right law school. Southern University Law Center

Southern University Law Center offers full-and part-time Juris Doctor degree programs as well as a double degree in law and public administration. The school’s curriculum focuses primarily on the common law tradition and Louisiana legal practice, and there are many activities learning both in and outside the classroom. The Center prides itself on the wide range of racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds of its students.

Emory Law

Law school offers Juris Doctor degrees at Emory University as well as dual degrees in business administration, divinity, theological studies, and public health. Emory Law also offers a number of topic-specific interdisciplinary programs that allow law students to spread their learning experience. Second-and third-year students who are interested in the civil service can participate in the area, location, program, which allows them to carry out voluntary work with the public and Government agencies.

Tulane University Law School
Law program at Tulane University is one of the oldest in the country and offers both Juris Doctor and Juris degrees. The curriculum centers on both civil and common law traditions with specialization in environment, Maritime Affairs, sports, international and comparative law. Students are required to participate in pro bono work in one of seven areas as a requirement for graduation.

University of Georgia School of Law

University of Georgia School of Law offers Juris Doctor, Juris and dual degree programs in business administration, historic preservation, public administration, sports management and social work. SMU Dedman School of Law

Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law offers both Juris Doctor and Juris degrees. Class size at Dedman school is intentionally small and student-faculty interaction one-on-one are strongly encouraged. The Dedman school is home to the national headquarters of the appellate court judges Educational Institute and five law journals.

University of Mississippi School of Law

Law school at the University of Mississippi offers a Juris Doctor degree as well as two certificate programs with power feed in criminal law and air and space law. The school administers a number of specialized legal clinics and programs, including the Mississippi Innocence Project and the National Center for Justice and the rule of law.
